Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 0.63% or 0.1 points to trade at 8.0 at the close. Statoil ASA (OL:STL) added 0.61% or 0.8 points to end at 131.3 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 0.59% or 0.60 points to 103.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which lost 6.73% or 1.1 points to trade at 14.6 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 4.31% or 1.0 points to end at 21.5 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) shed 2.67% or 6.9 points to 251.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 110 to 60 and 15 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 4.00% or 1.58 to $41.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.76% or 1.57 to hit $43.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.60% or 8.25 to trade at $1364.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.35% to 9.4282, while USD/NOK rose 0.32% to 8.4568.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.52% at 95.51.
