Europa Metals (LON:EUZ) said it generated “highly encouraging results” from recent metallurgical testwork programmes as it updated the market on resource drilling at its Toral project in Spain.
The Europe-focused lead, zinc and silver developer, said testwork results received from Wardell Armstrong International Ltd included promising cycle flotation tests on products from an ore-sorted bulk siliceous sample, as well as promising tests on two carbonate samples.
Concentrate grades of 56.6% zinc and 69.6% lead were recovered from the bulk sample, while concentrate grades ran as high as 57.4% and 75.2%.
Overall recovery rates were also highly encouraging.
"We have been busy so far this year on all fronts," said executive chairman and acting chief executive Myles Campion.
“The recent completion of our metallurgical testwork campaign with WAI achieved excellent results from both the upper siliceous zone and the lower carbonate zone.”
Also encouraging for the AIM-listed enterprise were the results of its resource drilling campaign at the wholly owned Toral lead, zinc and silver project in the Castilla y León region, Spain.
"I am also pleased with our ongoing drill programme, albeit there is some catching up still to do, which will aim to prove up further indicated resources at depth," said Campion.
