Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA), which rose 3.82% or 33.50 points to trade at 910.50 at the close. Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) added 3.65% or 38.00 points to end at 1,079.00 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 3.51% or 5.40 points to 157.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which lost 1.80% or 190.00 points to trade at 10,390.00 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 1.62% or 175.00 points to end at 10,595.00 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) shed 0.80% or 14.50 points to 1,806.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 64 to 64 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.87% or 1.50 to $78.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.75% or 1.44 to hit $80.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 3.75 to trade at $2,507.75 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.17% to 6.81, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 102.74.
