Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.77% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 1.91% or 0.3 points to trade at 16.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 1.81% or 30.0 points to end at 1690.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 0.49% or 80.0 points to 16300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 7.92% or 800.0 points to trade at 9300.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 5.47% or 150.0 points to end at 2590.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 3.55% or 250.0 points to 6800.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 9 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 3.73% or 4.92 to $137.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.23% or 7.00 to hit $3033.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.78% or 8.80 to trade at $1114.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.48% to 2982.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.30% to 846.70.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 96.31.
