Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Public Services, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.52% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 7.07% or 530.0 points to trade at 8030.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 1.87% or 0.3 points to end at 16.3 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 0.61% or 160.0 points to 26260.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.80% or 150.0 points to trade at 5200.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.76% or 85.0 points to end at 3000.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) shed 1.81% or 75.0 points to 4060.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 6 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.44% or 0.55 to $124.42 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.05% or 1.50 to hit $3168.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.10 to trade at $1088.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.65% to 2899.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.93% to 837.50.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 98.01.
