Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.48% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which rose 1.87% or 0.3 points to trade at 16.3 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.78% or 90.0 points to end at 5140.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 1.59% or 260.0 points to 16580.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 3.28% or 85.0 points to trade at 2505.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 2.50% or 680.0 points to end at 26560.0 and Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) shed 1.94% or 180.0 points to 9120.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 14 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.20% or 0.28 to $136.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.15% or 4.50 to hit $3038.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1114.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.28% to 2991.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.32% to 858.71.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 96.59.
