Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS), which rose 1.05% or 360.0 points to trade at 34760.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.19% or 110.0 points to end at 9320.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) was up 0.88% or 300.0 points to 34500.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which lost 2.72% or 35.0 points to trade at 1250.0 in late trade. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) declined 2.95% or 360.0 points to end at 11860.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 2.28% or 140.0 points to 6000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 10 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.65% or 0.88 to $135.25 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.64% or 20.00 to hit $3110.00 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.78% or 9.20 to trade at $1175.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.58% to 2594.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.17% to 824.15.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 95.52.
