Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 3.03% or 50.0 points to trade at 1700.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 2.94% or 100.0 points to end at 3500.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 2.84% or 480.0 points to 17360.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 8.81% or 550.0 points to trade at 5690.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 4.33% or 85.0 points to end at 1880.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) shed 1.98% or 60.0 points to 2970.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 7 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 2.17% or 3.10 to $139.53 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.24% or 7.50 to hit $3138.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 1.61% or 19.80 to trade at $1207.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 2.98% to 2488.50, while BRL/COP rose 2.01% to 819.61.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.22% at 95.37.
