Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Inversionist and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 1.84% or 460.0 points to trade at 25520.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 1.53% or 55.0 points to end at 3650.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 1.48% or 360.0 points to 24740.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 1.90% or 120.0 points to trade at 6210.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 0.95% or 160.0 points to end at 16740.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.65% or 360.0 points to 55140.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 9 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.40% or 0.53 to $132.70 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.78% or 21.00 to hit $2703.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.17% or 2.00 to trade at $1183.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.95% to 2600.00, while BRL/COP rose 2.31% to 816.76.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 98.64.
