Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 2.26% or 140.0 points to trade at 6330.0 at the close. Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) added 1.77% or 620.0 points to end at 35720.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.83% or 140.0 points to 16960.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which lost 1.61% or 900.0 points to trade at 55100.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 1.48% or 200.0 points to end at 13300.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.24% or 45.0 points to 3595.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 12 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 4.15% or 5.72 to $132.18 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 2.08% or 57.00 to hit $2682.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 1.27% or 15.30 to trade at $1185.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.76% to 2575.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.35% to 797.42.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 98.33.
