Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.14% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which rose 9.87% or 1,040.00 points to trade at 11,580.00 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) added 3.94% or 280.00 points to end at 7,390.00 and Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) was up 3.68% or 680.00 points to 19,160.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO), which lost 1.40% or 25.00 points to trade at 1,755.00 in late trade. Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC:SCA) declined 1.03% or 620.00 points to end at 59,520.00 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p) shed 0.43% or 2.00 points to 462.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.84% or 2.45 to $294.95 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 2.31% or 196.00 to hit $8,688.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 19.70 to trade at $2,671.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.09% to 4,390.30, while BRL/COP fell 0.77% to 755.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 107.02.
