Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Mobile and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite rose 4.57%, while the SZSE Component index climbed 4.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Meiyan Jixiang (SS:600868), which rose 10.14% or 0.370 points to trade at 4.020 at the close. Bj North Star (SS:601588) added 10.10% or 0.530 points to end at 5.780 and Mengdian (SS:600863) was up 10.10% or 0.490 points to 5.340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cheng Cheng (SS:600247), which lost 2.89% or 0.520 points to trade at 17.500 in late trade. Minsheng Bank (SS:600016) declined 1.61% or 0.170 points to end at 10.420 and Bank Of China SS (SS:601988) shed 1.07% or 0.060 points to 5.540.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Hainan Expressway Co Ltd (SZ:000886) which rose 10.10% to 5.45, Huatian Hotel Group Co Ltd (SZ:000428) which was up 10.08% to settle at 7.21 and Jinke Property Group Co Ltd (SZ:000656) which gained 10.07% to close at 6.67.
The worst performers were Accelink Technologies Co Ltd (SZ:002281) which was unchanged 0% to 33.87 in late trade, Anhui Deli Household Glass Co Ltd (SZ:002571) which unchanged 0% to settle at 18.46 and Aerospace Hi-Tech Holding Group Co Ltd (SZ:000901) which was unchanged 0% to 40.82 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 715 to 7 on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was down 8.67% to 42.75.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 0.22% or 2.60 to $1161.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.75% or 0.93 to hit $53.70 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.58% or 0.93 to trade at $59.53 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.00% to 6.2091, while EUR/CNY rose 0.72% to 6.9031.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.47% at 96.22.
