Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 5.38% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.235 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 4.35% or 0.00 points to end at 0.05 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was up 1.34% or 0.110 points to 8.310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bco Continenta (LM:CON), which lost 9.88% or 0.430 points to trade at 3.920 in late trade. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) declined 8.79% or 0.710 points to end at 7.370 and Candente Copper (LM:DNT) shed 4.17% or 0.0020 points to 0.0460.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 10 to 9 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.36% or 0.62 to $46.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $48.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1216.70 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2504, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7031.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.56.
