Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP), which rose 2.32% or 0.50 points to trade at 22.04 at the close. Aedifica (EBR:AOO) added 2.03% or 1.25 points to end at 62.80 and Umicore SA (EBR:UMI) was up 1.70% or 0.17 points to 10.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sofina (EBR:SOF), which lost 4.34% or 11.00 points to trade at 242.60 in late trade. KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) declined 3.26% or 2.86 points to end at 85.00 and Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR:AZE) shed 2.44% or 0.42 points to 16.79.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 51 to 41 and 15 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.89% or 27.66 to $3,118.56 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.82% or 0.57 to hit $69.35 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.85% or 0.62 to trade at $72.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.74.
