Proactive Investors - Atlantic Lithium (LON:ALLA) has started infill programmes at Ewoyaa in Ghana comprising 3,000 metres (m) of reverse circulation and diamond drilling with a passive seismic survey also underway.

Lennard Kolff, interim chief executive, said the exploration aims to de-risk the project's current resources further and add optionality to the mine plan.

"On completion of the infill programme, the drill rig will then commence the planned 7,000m resource extension drilling programme at the Ewoyaa Main, Ewoyaa North-East and Kaampakrom targets for potential further resource growth.”

Kolff added the group was also excited to be working with Fleet Space Technologies on the passive seismic geophysical survey, which he said was the first of its kind in Ghana.

“Its [Fleet Space] technology has proven to generate impressive results, including at Core Lithium's Finniss project in Australia, which bears many similarities to Ewoyaa.

“If successful, the survey could significantly improve our understanding of the current Ewoyaa MRE [mineral resource] and unearth further areas to target with follow-up drilling.”

The drilling underway currently aims to convert Inferred resources to the higher confidence Indicated category while the geophysical survey will test for hidden pegmatite targets.

A programme of 7,000 of auger exploration is also making good progress, said Atlantic, which added this latest exploration will not affect the timetable of the definitive feasibility study scheduled for this quarter.
