Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 4.73% or 0.485 points to trade at 10.730 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 1.20% or 0.0450 points to end at 3.7870 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 1.00% or 0.0690 points to 6.9900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 4.73% or 0.0090 points to trade at 0.1811 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 2.67% or 0.0100 points to end at 0.3640 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) shed 1.25% or 0.0640 points to 5.0660.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 2.01% or 1.07 to $54.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.77% or 0.89 to hit $51.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.65 to trade at $1257.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.0665, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8578.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.48.
