Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 16.56% or 0.270 points to trade at 1.900 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 3.33% or 0.060 points to end at 1.860 and Relapasa (LM:REL) was up 2.22% or 0.005 points to 0.230 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 5.71% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.330 in late trade. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 3.75% or 0.090 points to end at 2.310 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) shed 3.25% or 0.500 points to 14.900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.22% or 0.12 to $53.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $56.45 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.78% or 9.85 to trade at $1248.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.40% to 3.2650, while EUR/PEN rose 0.23% to 3.4670.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 101.34.
