Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Electricity and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS), which rose 7.44% or 0.670 points to trade at 9.670 at the close. Metro Holding (IS:METRO) added 6.84% or 0.080 points to end at 1.250 and Do-Co (IS:DOCO) was up 6.17% or 15.00 points to 258.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which lost 5.05% or 0.360 points to trade at 6.770 in late trade. Tupras (IS:TUPRS) declined 2.93% or 2.50 points to end at 82.80 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) shed 2.56% or 0.010 points to 0.380.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 198 to 134 and 74 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.73% or 9.05 to $1242.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.47% or 0.25 to hit $52.86 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.75% or 0.42 to trade at $55.33 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.06% to 3.6580, while EUR/TRY rose 0.71% to 3.9083.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 100.47.
