Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 1.60% or 320 points to trade at 20350 at the close. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 1.09% or 410 points to end at 37860 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) was up 0.77% or 38 points to 4960 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which lost 3.03% or 111 points to trade at 3550 in late trade. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 1.53% or 4.0 points to end at 258.0 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 1.32% or 780 points to 58530.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 173 to 171 and 100 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.24% or 0.61 to $49.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.30% or 0.65 to hit $50.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 1.95 to trade at $1268.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.8476, while EUR/ILS rose 0.17% to 4.2015.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 98.73.
