In a report, Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation said that Canadian housing starts rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 220.6K, from 184.2K in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 182.7K.
Analysts had expected Canadian housing starts to rise to 190.0K last month.
