Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which rose 2.78% or 0.200 points to trade at 7.400 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) added 1.72% or 0.010 points to end at 0.590 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 0.89% or 0.100 points to 11.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Atacocha (LM:ATB), which lost 4.54% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.315 in late trade. Minsur (LM:MINi) declined 3.85% or 0.050 points to end at 1.250 and Trevali Mining (LM:TV) shed 2.60% or 0.020 points to 0.750.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 5 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.54% or 1.13 to $45.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $47.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1341.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3590, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7745.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 95.21.
