Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Services and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which rose 5.78% or 0.310 points to trade at 5.670 at the close. International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) added 5.47% or 4.250 points to end at 82.000 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was up 4.77% or 5.2000 points to 114.2000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which lost 0.67% or 0.040 points to trade at 5.930 in late trade. Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) declined 0.54% or 1.000 points to end at 184.800 and First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) shed 0.40% or 0.10 points to 24.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 107 to 71 and 48 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.09% or 1.25 to $1319.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.62% or 0.27 to hit $43.59 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.57% or 0.26 to trade at $45.69 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.40% to 7.1694, while USD/PHP fell 0.03% to 47.820.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 95.70.
