Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 5.03% or 56.0 points to trade at 1170.0 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 4.55% or 375 points to end at 8615 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 4.28% or 340 points to 8290 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which added 1.00% or 0.55 points to trade at 55.55 in late trade. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 1.05% or 2.6 points to end at 251.2 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) gained 1.13% or 2.7 points to 241.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 121 to 31 and 13 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.90% or 1.39 to $49.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.86% or 1.41 to hit $50.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.71% or 9.40 to trade at $1327.30 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.42% to 6.6990, while EUR/DKK fell 0.07% to 7.4383.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 95.81.
