Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.35% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which rose 2.17% or 5.4 points to trade at 254.0 at the close. Nice (TA:NICE) added 2.04% or 470 points to end at 23460 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 1.96% or 27 points to 1402 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 4.36% or 2810 points to trade at 61630 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 3.24% or 50 points to end at 1495 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 1.94% or 70 points to 3540.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 175 to 139 and 124 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.52% or 1.20 to $46.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.35% or 1.15 to hit $47.89 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.41% or 5.45 to trade at $1327.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.35% to 3.8956, while EUR/ILS fell 0.93% to 4.2753.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.28% at 96.85.
