Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 4.40% or 2.45 points to trade at 58.15 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 3.19% or 1.17 points to end at 37.79 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.48% or 0.45 points to 30.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 6.71% or 3.80 points to trade at 52.85 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 5.36% or 0.620 points to end at 10.940 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 3.68% or 1.76 points to 46.03.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 57 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.30% or 0.15 to $49.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.42% or 0.20 to hit $47.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.54 to trade at $1246.54 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.05% to 1.1635, while EUR/GBP rose 1.47% to 0.8971.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.64% at 94.03.
