Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 4.96% or 0.32 points to trade at 6.67 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 1.24% or 0.046 points to end at 3.748 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.49% or 0.14 points to 28.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 3.16% or 1.24 points to trade at 38.00 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.71% or 0.1600 points to end at 9.2100 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.56% or 0.078 points to 4.932.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 68 to 68 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.13% or 0.07 to $56.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.43% or 0.23 to hit $53.31 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.44% or 18.10 to trade at $1272.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.0611, while EUR/GBP fell 0.36% to 0.8506.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 100.63.
