Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Agriculture, Miscellaneous Industry and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Jaya Pari Steel Tbk (JK:JPRS), which rose 34.78% or 48 points to trade at 186 at the close. Golden Retailindo Tbk (JK:GOLD) added 21.57% or 55 points to end at 310 and Kmi Wire And Cable Tbk (JK:KBLI) was up 14.94% or 13 points to 100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metro Realty Tbk (JK:MTSM), which lost 9.72% or 35 points to trade at 325 in late trade. Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT) declined 9.71% or 135 points to end at 1255 and Electronic City Indonesia Tbk (JK:ECII) shed 9.55% or 105 points to 995.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 190 to 131 and 44 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.63% or 0.29 to $45.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.34% or 0.17 to hit $49.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.20 to trade at $1119.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.08% to 14258.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.39% to 10042.20.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 96.17.
