Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 1.49% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which rose 0.43% or 5.0 points to trade at 1160.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 0.33% or 5.0 points to end at 1525.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 0.18% or 5.0 points to 2845.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 3.81% or 270.0 points to trade at 6810.0 in late trade. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) declined 3.11% or 520.0 points to end at 16200.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 2.96% or 520.0 points to 17060.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 4 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.94% or 1.10 to $115.58 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.82% or 27.00 to hit $3319.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.60 to trade at $1083.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 3.33% to 3040.00, while BRL/COP rose 3.14% to 806.05.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 98.73.
