Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Holdings & Investments, Banking and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 4.26% or 0.33 points to trade at 8.07 at the close. Aselsan (IS:ASELS) added 3.85% or 0.44 points to end at 11.88 and Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) was up 3.52% or 0.26 points to 7.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which lost 3.57% or 0.58 points to trade at 15.67 in late trade. Izmir Demir Celik (IS:IZMDC) declined 3.33% or 0.090 points to end at 2.610 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) shed 2.49% or 0.060 points to 2.350.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 194 to 148 and 64 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for February delivery was up 0.06% or 0.70 to $1130.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.51% or 0.77 to hit $51.67 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.67% or 0.90 to trade at $54.92 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.14% to 3.5071, while EUR/TRY fell 0.13% to 3.6533.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 103.15.
