Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Lima Assorted and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General gained 0.90% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 8.70% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.175 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 6.67% or 0.010 points to end at 0.160 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 3.58% or 0.760 points to 22.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which lost 5.41% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.350 in late trade. Unacem (LM:CEL) declined 0.86% or 0.020 points to end at 2.300 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) shed 0.84% or 0.040 points to 4.700.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 11 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.27% or 0.15 to $56.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.83% or 0.53 to hit $63.84 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1198.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.1235, while EUR/PEN rose 1.71% to 3.3472.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.67% at 97.88.
