At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.46%, the S&P 500 index gained 0.70%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 1.74%.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock bourses closed higher. France’s CAC 40 was up 0.80%; Germany’s DAX gained 0.50%; Britain’s FTSE 100 climbed 0.82%; and the EURO STOXX 50 rose 0.67%.
