Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Beverage sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which rose 4.27% or 8.90 points to trade at 216.90 at the close. Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) added 3.94% or 1.10 points to end at 29.00 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 3.67% or 3.90 points to 110.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Colorado (CS:COL), which lost 3.33% or 2.90 points to trade at 84.00 in late trade. Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) declined 3.14% or 0.60 points to end at 18.50 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) shed 2.96% or 2.01 points to 65.89.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.11% or 0.06 to $57.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $65.03 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.75% or 9.00 to trade at $1212.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.30% to 10.7870, while USD/MAD fell 0.51% to 9.8296.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.70% at 96.21.
