Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.19% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 2.57% or 2.17 points to trade at 86.59 at the close. PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) added 2.15% or 3.660 points to end at 173.850 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 1.91% or 0.62 points to 33.18 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which lost 10.23% or 2.770 points to trade at 24.150 in late trade. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) declined 4.25% or 1.390 points to end at 31.290 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) shed 3.21% or 0.560 points to 16.860.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 57 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 0.62% or 7.40 to $1182.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 3.45% or 2.10 to hit $58.83 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 3.41% or 2.31 to trade at $65.46 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.24% to 15.3232, while EUR/MXN fell 0.93% to 17.2676.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 94.73.
