Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LISBON:NOS), which rose 3.83% or 0.2470 points to trade at 6.7040 at the close. Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) added 3.40% or 0.1070 points to end at 3.2570 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LISBON:CTT) was up 2.48% or 0.2500 points to 10.3200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Portugal Telecom (LISBON:PTC), which lost 3.03% or 0.0185 points to trade at 0.5925 in late trade. Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) declined 2.61% or 0.0190 points to end at 0.7100 and Galp Energia Nom (LISBON:GALP) shed 1.53% or 0.1850 points to 11.9050.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 45 to 22 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.91% or 0.57 to $62.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.67% or 0.39 to hit $57.49 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.79% or 9.40 to trade at $1203.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.0751, while EUR/GBP fell 0.19% to 0.7189.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 98.05.
