Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Commercial Service And Supplies and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which rose 1.14% or 0.2 points to trade at 14.2 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) added 1.09% or 1.1 points to end at 102.4 and Orkla ASA (OSLO:ORK) was up 1.07% or 0.65 points to 61.15 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OSLO:GJFS), which lost 1.94% or 2.5 points to trade at 126.3 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) declined 1.87% or 5.7 points to end at 299.8 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) shed 1.83% or 1.2 points to 64.2.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 97 to 82 and 3 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.60% or 0.97 to $59.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.75% or 1.17 to hit $65.38 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1205.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 8.4222, while USD/NOK rose 0.82% to 7.6354.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.72% at 96.16.
