Investing.com – Netherlands equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were NN Group (AS:NN), which rose 1.66% or 0.53 points to trade at 32.15 at the close. Akzo Nobel (AS:AKZO) added 1.45% or 0.95 points to end at 66.38 and Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP) was up 1.39% or 3.50 points to 254.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altice NV (AS:ATCA), which lost 4.17% or 0.58 points to trade at 13.45 in late trade. OCI (AS:OCI) declined 3.88% or 0.930 points to end at 23.050 and Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL) shed 3.69% or 0.27 points to 7.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 71 and 3 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 3.92% to 21.66.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.34% or 0.14 to $41.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.23% or 0.55 to hit $44.73 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.00 to trade at $1075.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.84% to 1.0644, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.7008.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.61% at 99.68.
