Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Chemicals and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which rose 5.94% or 1.07 points to trade at 19.06 at the close. Sonasid (CS:SOND) added 5.90% or 39 points to end at 698 and Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) was up 5.71% or 12.00 points to 222.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Maghrebail (CS:MAB), which lost 5.14% or 36 points to trade at 664 in late trade. Involys (CS:INV) declined 3.61% or 4.50 points to end at 120.00 and Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1) shed 2.57% or 45 points to 1700.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 18 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.73% or 0.31 to $42.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $48.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.00 to trade at $1115.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.05% to 10.8180, while USD/MAD rose 0.28% to 9.8110.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 97.05.
