Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Nos SGPS SA (LISBON:NOS), which rose 2.12% or 0.1350 points to trade at 6.5000 at the close. Sonae (LISBON:YSO) added 1.92% or 0.0235 points to end at 1.2475 and Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) was up 1.49% or 0.0001 points to 0.0067 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA), which lost 3.76% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.90 in late trade. Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) declined 3.37% or 0.0230 points to end at 0.6600 and Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) shed 1.93% or 0.0590 points to 2.9960.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 50 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.91% or 0.61 to $68.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.44% or 0.87 to hit $61.27 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.00 to trade at $1189.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.23% to 1.1323, while EUR/GBP rose 0.98% to 0.7438.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.96% at 94.36.
