Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 1.72% or 2.10 points to trade at 124.20 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) added 0.60% or 0.8 points to end at 134.2 and TeliaSonera AB (ST:TLSN) was up 0.50% or 0.25 points to 50.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which lost 8.56% or 16.3 points to trade at 174.2 in late trade. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) declined 4.74% or 4.40 points to end at 88.45 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) shed 4.01% or 8.7 points to 208.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 269 to 164 and 4 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.43% or 1.29 to $51.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.92% or 1.12 to hit $57.55 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.76% or 8.80 to trade at $1144.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.31% to 9.3242, while USD/SEK rose 0.12% to 8.5055.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 97.25.
