At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.00%, the S&P 500 index gained 1.05%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 1.30%.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock bourses closed higher. France’s CAC 40 was up 1.39%; Germany’s DAX gained 1.57%; Britain’s FTSE 100 climbed 0.65%; and the EURO STOXX 50 rose 1.48%.
