Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Software & Computer Services and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which rose 6.02% or 0.7 points to trade at 11.8 at the close. BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) added 3.29% or 1.45 points to end at 45.51 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 2.91% or 0.21 points to 7.43 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG), which lost 0.53% or 2.3 points to trade at 429.0 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 0.50% or 0.7 points to end at 138.9 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) shed 0.49% or 1.00 points to 204.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 81 and 31 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.68% or 0.80 to $48.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.37% or 0.70 to hit $51.62 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.55 to trade at $1200.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.11% to 9.1371, while USD/NOK fell 0.46% to 8.5860.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 101.28.
