Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.81% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.52% or 50.0 points to trade at 3350.0 at the close. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) added 0.53% or 15.0 points to end at 2820.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 0.44% or 40.0 points to 9190.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 4.93% or 280.0 points to trade at 5400.0 in late trade. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) declined 2.19% or 800.0 points to end at 35800.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) shed 1.92% or 500.0 points to 25600.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 7 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.28% or 1.62 to $125.35 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.02% or 0.50 to hit $3271.00 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1168.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.35% to 2672.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.13% to 850.57.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 96.44.
