Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Agriculture, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the Lima Stock Exchange General gained 0.26% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Lima Stock Exchange General were Sider (LM:SID), which rose 6.67% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.160 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 4.71% or 0.008 points to end at 0.178 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 2.00% or 0.100 points to 5.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minsur (LM:MINi), which lost 2.22% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.320 in late trade. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 1.70% or 0.010 points to end at 0.580 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) shed 1.18% or 0.050 points to 4.200.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $57.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.25% or 0.17 to hit $64.67 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.70% or 8.40 to trade at $1211.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.24% to 3.1270, while EUR/PEN rose 0.89% to 3.4308.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.73% at 96.19.
