Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Communication, Banking and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.04% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which rose 3.67% or 660.0 points to trade at 18630.0 at the close. Harel (TA:HARL) added 1.39% or 27 points to end at 1973 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 0.96% or 200 points to 20980 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which lost 2.06% or 134 points to trade at 6380 in late trade. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 2.00% or 168 points to end at 8222 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 1.82% or 52 points to 2812.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 239 to 175 and 36 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.92% or 0.46 to $50.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.17% or 0.62 to hit $53.74 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.05 to trade at $1259.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.6465, while EUR/ILS rose 0.29% to 3.8884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 100.45.
