Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Industry, Miscellaneous Industry and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite fell 2.97%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Lionmesh Prima Tbk (JK:LMSH), which rose 21.18% or 104 points to trade at 595 at the close. Modern Internasional Tbk (JK:MDRN) added 10.29% or 14 points to end at 150 and Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (JK:EMTK) was up 9.50% or 950 points to 10000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bank Qnb Indonesia Tbk (JK:BKSW), which lost 10.00% or 35 points to trade at 315 in late trade. Intan Baruprana Finance Tbk (JK:IBFN) declined 9.94% or 17.00 points to end at 154.00 and Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (JK:SMMT) shed 9.91% or 42 points to 382.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 244 to 65 and 45 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.82% or 0.38 to $45.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.05% or 0.52 to hit $48.53 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.39% or 16.30 to trade at $1159.80 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.78% to 13645.0, while AUD/IDR fell 1.07% to 9643.50.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 97.46.
