Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Personal & Household Goods and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.13% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 3.93% or 14.1 points to trade at 373.0 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) added 3.21% or 12.7 points to end at 407.8 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) was up 3.11% or 23.5 points to 779.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which lost 5.21% or 545 points to trade at 9925 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 4.55% or 465 points to end at 9745 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) shed 0.41% or 0.15 points to 36.76.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 114 to 46 and 7 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.19% or 0.54 to $44.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.00% or 0.01 to hit $48.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.70 to trade at $1162.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.92% to 6.7777, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4597.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.77% at 97.18.
