Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 4.54% or 290.0 points to trade at 6680.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 4.74% or 580.0 points to end at 12820.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 3.73% or 50.0 points to 1390.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 2.86% or 100.0 points to trade at 3500.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 2.30% or 280.0 points to end at 11900.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 1.19% or 700.0 points to 58300.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 5 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 2.79% or 3.45 to $127.28 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.39% or 12.00 to hit $3081.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1135.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.76% to 2962.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.97% to 759.26.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 96.21.
