Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 2.68% or 4.3 points to trade at 165.0 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 2.63% or 6.4 points to end at 250.2 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 2.49% or 2.70 points to 111.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which lost 0.14% or 0.2 points to trade at 146.9 in late trade. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 0.05% or 0.1 points to end at 190.3 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) gained 0.07% or 0.10 points to 136.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 348 to 84 and 4 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.17% or 0.09 to $52.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.20% or 0.12 to hit $58.88 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1157.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.75% to 9.3339, while USD/SEK rose 0.49% to 8.4684.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.92% at 96.84.
