Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Real Estate and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 2.01% or 590 points to trade at 29920 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.00% or 150 points to end at 15100 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 0.70% or 11 points to 1589 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Osem (TA:OSEM), which lost 2.96% or 249 points to trade at 8171 in late trade. Leumi (TA:LUMI) declined 2.36% or 35 points to end at 1451 and Teva (TA:TEVA) shed 1.96% or 520 points to 26070.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 224 to 137 and 96 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.12% or 1.62 to $53.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.96% or 1.16 to hit $60.20 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.58% or 6.90 to trade at $1192.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.85% to 3.9607, while EUR/ILS rose 0.05% to 4.2235.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.82% at 98.92.
