Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Household, Basic Resources and Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 1.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr), which rose 8.01% or 0.330 points to trade at 4.450 at the close. Metka (AT:MTKr) added 4.70% or 0.32 points to end at 7.13 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was up 4.24% or 0.565 points to 13.885 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 19.90% or 0.078 points to trade at 0.314 in late trade. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 4.66% or 0.027 points to end at 0.552 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) shed 3.77% or 0.004 points to 0.101.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 30 and 23 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.13% or 1.55 to $1228.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.74 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $51.74 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.0747, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8686.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.13.
